Today, I’d like to update you regarding the current state of KTV in China. In the past, people who went to KTV in China often went to Guangdong. However, after the Dongguan raid in 2014 and the Huizhou raid in Danshui in 2018, most people now prefer to go to KTVs in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Zhuhai. Team Phillip has been in Guangdong since 2012, and no one knows the top KTVs in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Zhuhai better than I do. I’ve heard that in recent years, KTVs outside Guangdong have become even more exciting. In 2024, our team expanded to three popular areas in Changchun (North East China), Chongqing, and Chengdu. With the Canton Fair just around the corner, one of my friends is planning a trip to Guangzhou to enjoy some KTV. As a result, I will be personally leading a group to inspect the venues.

In the past, KTV establishments in Guangdong have generally been concentrated in three major cities: Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Zhuhai. While I’ve often arranged KTV sessions in Guangzhou, most of the time these plans are made on short notice by customers reaching out to me via WeChat. Because of this, I rarely get the opportunity to personally lead a group in Guangzhou unless a customer specifically requests it and books my time well in advance. As a result, I don’t always have a clear understanding of the best options and unique features of the KTVs in Guangzhou.

I’m grateful to a good friend who just so happens to be visiting Guangzhou and has asked me to take charge of their KTV tour. Taking advantage of this, I’ve decided to book three of the most popular KTV venues in the city at the moment. I’ll use this opportunity to write up and update a guide on the key characteristics of KTVs in Guangzhou, so that you can have a reference when considering your options.

Allow me to highlight an unforgettable experience at one of Guangzhou's most prestigious high-end KTV spots, Tian De Hui (天德汇). Upon our arrival that evening, we made our way up to the 41st floor, where we were greeted by an incredible panoramic view of the iconic Guangzhou Tower. The atmosphere was electric as we sang our hearts out, enjoyed drinks, and engaged in lively conversation, all while being surrounded by stunning beauties. Without a doubt, this experience stands out as one of the best I’ve had in Guangdong.

The evening’s entertainment kicked off promptly at 8:30 PM, when the seating for the beautiful hostesses began. There is always a wide selection available, lasting well past midnight, sometimes even until the early hours of the morning. The KTV attracts a diverse array of gorgeous women from all corners of China, each with their own charm. That night, I was fortunate enough to choose a lovely lady from Beijing. A friend celebrating his birthday selected an adorable girl from Chongqing, while another friend selected a striking beauty from Chaoshan. Each of us was able to enjoy a unique and unforgettable experience, truly making it an exceptional night in Guangzhou.

It was so very evident from all attendees that evening that the Chaosan girl was super proactive and exhibited a very high degree of girl friend experience once she sat next to my brother. In addition to stroking his legs and thighs in a suggestive manner, she pulled my brother close to her and gave him several continuous French kisses of more than 10-15 minutes duration. Over the past few days, I had the opportunity to personally lead a group in organizing several KTV events in Guangzhou. Another venue worth mentioning is the W Hotel Classic KTV (also known as Jingdian KTV), a classic spot that remains a solid choice in Guangzhou’s KTV scene. Although Tiandehui KTV and Suijin KTV are now considered the frontrunners in the high-end KTV category in the city, it’s interesting to note that the W Hotel Classic KTV was once the leader of the Guangzhou KTV scene. While it has since become a more mid-range option, its reputation and quality still hold strong.

We arrived at the W Hotel Classic KTV at 8:30 pm, right on schedule. My partner in Guangzhou had already made arrangements for our seating, ensuring we were promptly taken care of. For those who enjoy the lively and diverse atmosphere of Guangdong and Northeast Jilin girls, this venue offers a wide variety of choices. It's remarkably easy to select a hostess for the evening, with multiple parades of female companions being presented to you throughout the night. If you so choose, you can elect to bring your companion out either for one shot and/or overnight conveniently.

Although the W Hotel Classic KTV is considered a mid-tier venue, it still stands out for offering a higher quality experience than similar mid-range KTVs in places like Shenzhen and Zhuhai.
