It depends, difficult to say which province, which pub/bar is close. Those pubs/bars which police has a share or police dun bother will be opened. Mainly, big cities pubs/bars will be closed. End of the night, u want beer, there is. U want ger there is as long as u have the cash..... this is Thailand.

Religious holidays should be observed by most. Unlike other holidays ; like King's or Queen's B-Day where its is unclear.

Whatever it is, just prepare for a closure. Want beer? Use hotel mini bar. Want girl? Use your black book or outcall service. :D

Last year in the famous Soi 6...... I rtf my regular bargirl on the eve of Vesak day. She refused to be barfined that night..... her reason ?
" Tomorrow is Buddha day.... I go to pray so tonight must be good girl" ....... Lol

U will be surprised. 2 incidents I encountered,

I was in Pattaya during Vesak day 2 years ago, a few beer bars were opened, and "camouflage" beer was served. :rolleyes: Pubs were brightly lighted up with soft music .... I saw also sian, rather sleep in the hotel.

I was in Sukothai years ago, same... some pubs were opened but no loud music... bottles were still served.

BTW King is considered as reincarnation of a hindu god, Vishnu. That was why they are also address as Rama. His birthday is considered holy same as Vesak day.

Along Beach road are several vendors...... buy the fresh seafood and bring to your favourite stall to cook.

How cheap is cheap? Nice place to recommend would be Moom Aroi at Naklua (aka North Pattaya). Prices from Bht150-200 for most dishes so considered "cheap" by Sinkiepor standards. Get a table by the beach before sunset to enjoy spectacular view with cold beer in one hand and your puying in another. She will love you mak mak!

Had amazing 3day trip to pattaya last week (honey+rasputin+mixx+beer bar+nude show:P) !! but missed out few like, BJ Bars,Devil's Den. Is it worth ?

anyways, planning for my next trip on PH in august 8,9,10,11

any recommendations ?

You should have stayed longer.... 3 days is too short!
